Braces are for ALL ages!

When should you be evaluated for orthodontic care?

The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that an initial orthodontic evaluation should occur at the first sign of orthodontic problems, or by age 7 in most cases. If indicated, early orthodontic treatment can help with problems that would be more difficult to correct if not addressed early. However, it is never too late to start orthodontic treatment! If treatment is not needed right away, Dr. Stowers can monitor the eruption and bite relationships of the teeth with periodic recall observation appointments.

Why Orthodontics?

Orthodontic care is an important part of long-term health care. It improves incorrect bite, also known as malocclusion. Untreated malocclusions can make it harder to bite, chew or speak. When left untreated, many problems become worse. The new techniques and appliances we use greatly decrease the frequency of visits and make orthodontic treatment more efficient than it once was. No matter your age, it is never too early or too late to discover your options in improving your dental health and beautiful smile. We offer a variety of treatments that are designed to suit your needs. Your pathway to a new smile can begin today!
